Penney Spoonemore, R.N.

Penney is the Registered Nurse for Champion home care. Whenever Champion obtains a new client, she visits the home to get acquainted and do an RN assessment for the client. After gathering all information about the client, their needs, and what our caregivers will be doing in the home, she then creates a care plan that is individualized to each client and their needs.  Penney brings a wealth of knowledge and information to this position.

Penney is one of our older employees, due to the fact that she was 45 years old when she started nursing school. Earlier in her life, she graduated from college with a B.S. in Mathematics and taught junior high mathematics at Chisholm High School here in Enid. After having children and staying home with them for a few years, she found herself in the situation of being a single mother to two boys. At that time, she had decided that she did not want to go back into the teaching field, and made the decision to go to nursing school. She graduated with honors from nursing school, and has not looked back!  Although her nursing career is her second career choice, it has become the passion of her life. Penney is a vital asset to Champion's team, and believes she has a calling to provide quality care for our clients.

Russell Nickel, Administrator

Russell Nickel currently resides on a small farm near Aline, Oklahoma. Mr. Nickel has been married to his wonderful wife Ginger for 40 years. They have two beautiful daughters, two great sons-in-law, and have four grandchildren. Russell attended Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas and NWOSU in Alva, Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Russell was active in sports during his younger years, competing in four years of college baseball as a pitcher. Mr. Nickel retired recently as Park Manager at Great Salt Plains State Park near the small town of Jet, Oklahoma. Russell enjoys living the country life, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors enjoying God's amazing creation. Mr. Nickel enjoys reading and studying the Bible, unlocking its many truths and mysteries. Mr. Nickel has discovered through years of study and research, the Bible must be a book authored by a God operating outside the dimensions we know as time and space. All God's creation bears witness to His majesty, wisdom, and His intelligent design. This intelligent design proves His existence and His amazing love for all people. Mr. Nickel believes because of this undeniable evidence, the truths and warnings contained in the Bible should be taken seriously by all people. Russell has also published his own book, "What Has Been Will Be Again."

Russell is an asset to our team because of his experience, knowledge and leadership skills.
